Perhaps it sounds too idyllic for a veterinarian to reveal that he spent his childhood growing up on a cattle farm. Or maybe it comes across as too formulaic for a veterinarian to say that he developed his passion for medicine while working at his father’s veterinary practice.
But story clichés and formulas aside, all of the above is true about Dr. Chase Whitworth. Dr. Whitworth did grow up on a cattle farm with five siblings in Madison, Alabama. And Dr. Whitworth did develop his passion for veterinary medicine while working at his father’s small animal veterinary practice.
From that small suburb of Hunstville, Alabama, to the “Loveliest Village on The Plains,” Dr. Whitworth graduated from Bob Jones High School and then attended Auburn University, where he received both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees. As a practicing veterinarian, Dr. Whitworth takes special interest in surgery, reproduction, dermatology, and internal medicine. He is also a member of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Whitworth and his wife Lindsay have two children and two German Shorthaired Pointers. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys traveling, golf, and (of course) Auburn football.
